Rain Harvesting Workshop & Accreditation Program for Professionals and Homeowners May 20 in Watkinsville
In order to improve water conservation in Northeast Georgia, University of Georgia and Texas A & M University have teamed up to offer this in-depth training, which is part of the American Rain Catchment System Association's
Professional Accreditation Program. Participants will learn
about designing rain harvest systems - downspouts, cisterns, rainbarrels,
water features, filters, pumps, pipes, water quality and irrigation options.

One-of-a-kind Opportunity for Managers and Financial Officers of Water Utilities, May 21 and 22 in Atlanta
On May 21 and 22, the Georgia Water Wise Council - a section of the Georgia Association of Water Professionals, will present a conference entitled " Can Water Efficiency Really Work for a Water System’s Bottom Line?" to help managers and financial officers of water utilities learn how to make water efficiency a financially sound investment.
The conference is co-sponsored by the Home Depot Foundation, the San Antonio Water System through a grant from the Innovations in American Government Award by Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, the Alliance for Water Efficiency, the Georgia Association of Water Professionals, the Georgia Environmental Protection Division and American Rivers.
Participants will hear a water efficiency success story and dig deeper into the nuts and bolts of water efficiency programs that work.
