waterSmart is working with a variety of partners in several targeted metropolitan areas to reach the target audience for the waterSmart Initiative: individuals with a household income of $60,000 or greater, living in a suburban area. According to a public opinion survey conducted by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, individuals who use a significant amount of water for outdoor purposes but who would consider changes in their outdoor water use meet this profile.
The pilot communities and their partners are:
- Albany
- Augusta
- Cobb County
- Columbus
- Dalton
- Macon
