Georgia's ENERGY STAR and WaterSense Sales Tax Holiday
October 1 - October 4, 2009, Georgians will have the opportunity to purchase products with the ENERGY STAR and WaterSense labels without paying state and local sales taxes.
You can spend up to $1,500 on WaterSense products purchased for personal use tax free. This includes WaterSense bathroom faucets and toilets.
In addition to the money you’ll save during the sales tax holiday, if you live in certain areas in metro north Georgia you can receive a $100 rebate for installing a WaterSense toilet. And, in the long run, the water you save by using these products will add up to even more savings on your water bill. To find out if you qualify for this rebate, visit the residential toilet rebate program Web page.
