And the Water Efficiency Award goes to …
Robert J. Hunter, Commissioner of the Department of Watershed Management for the City of Atlanta, was recognized by the U.S. EPA with a 2008 Water Efficiency Leader award for his efforts in reducing, reusing and recycling water. Winners were chosen by a panel of national water experts and based on three criteria: leadership, innovation and water efficiency. Other winners are:
- Pinellas County Utilities (Clearwater, Fla.)
- PepsiCo (Purchase, N.Y.)
- Acequia (Austin, Texas)
- Homewise, Inc. (Santa Fe, N.M.)
- Orange County Water District (Orange County, Calif.)
